The Farley Open Committee is deeply honored to announce the 2026 fundraising beneficiary for the 46th Annual Farley Open:

The Miller family and their courageous four-year-old son, Wesley.

 

For 46 years, the Farley Open has brought family, friends, and the community together to help children and families facing tremendous medical and financial challenges. We are incredibly proud that, through the generosity of our supporters, we have raised more than $525,000 for deserving families.

 

Wesley Miller is the bright, loving, and determined son of Nate and Erin Miller and the brother of Maggie and baby Sam. In the fall of 2025, Wesley began experiencing worsening balance issues and repeated falls.

On September 29, 2025, an MRI revealed a brain tumor slightly larger than a golf ball near his cerebellum and brainstem. Wesley underwent an approximately eight-hour surgery and was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood brain cancer.

 

Following surgery, Wesley developed Posterior Fossa Syndrome, creating additional challenges in his recovery and requiring extensive rehabilitation, therapy, and ongoing medical care. Since his diagnosis, Wesley has spent nearly 250 days receiving inpatient care.

The Miller family relocated from Reading to Philadelphia so they could remain close to the specialists and lifesaving care Wesley receives at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Erin made the difficult decision to leave her career as a school counselor to become Wesley’s full-time caregiver, while Nate continues working as a dean of students in Lancaster and managing a demanding commute.

 

Despite everything he has faced, Wesley remains a loving, funny, and courageous little boy. His close relationship with his sister, Maggie, and the joy brought by his baby brother, Sam, continue to surround the Miller family with love during an incredibly difficult time.

 

The Farley Open family has always come together to support children and families when they need us most. As we prepare for our 46th year, we hope you will join us once again in rallying around Wesley and his devoted family.
